Jim has been with the Alaska West Express Inc. since July 1991, his background includes 9 years with the United States Air Force as a Crash/Fire/Rescue (CFR) Specialist and Fire Inspector. In addition to
his years as a firefighter, his background includes 20 years experience instructing hazardous materials emergency response, highway and railroad emergency response specialist, hazardous materials
transportation utilizing 49 CFR, ICAO/IATA (air) and IMDG (water). He is Chief for the Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) Hazardous Materials Response Team, member of the Statewide Hazardous
Material Working Group, Chairman of the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and member of the State Emergency Response Commission, member of SERC Training Subcommittee and
Chairman of the Alaska Trucking Association Safety Management Council. Jim was appointed by the Governor to the State Emergency Response Commission for a fourth consecutive term.

Al has been with Alaska West Express Inc. since September 1990 and Alaska West Training Center since August 2002. Al became the Fairbanks Terminal Manager in October 2006. He has over 30 years
commercial motor vehicle (CMV) driving experience as well as 20 years in logistics operations. Al is a member of Alaska West Emergency Response Team and is resposible to respond to hazardous
materials in transportation via highway, rail and vessel. He is a Team leader for emergency response to highway cargo tank and rail tank car incidents and confined space rescue operations. He is an
instructor for First Aid / CPR, powered industrial trucks, commercial motor vehicle operations and hazardous materials transportation utilizing 49 CFR and hazardous materials emergency response
Alan Hoza, HSSE Specialist

Alan has been with Alaska West Express Inc. since November of 2006. He has over twenty years in the transportation industry. He has nine years experience in oil refinery procurement and logistics, as a
member of a project engineering team for projects of up to $70M. He is a member of the Alaska West Emergency Response Team and is responsible for responding to hazardous materials in transportation
via highway and rail. He is instructor for powered industrial trucks, commercial motor vehicle operations, hazardous materials emergency response specialized programs, and the North Slope Training Co-
operative. Alan has customized specialty training programs, such as cargo securement, commercial motor vehicle operations, trailer towing operations, hours of service and defensive driving.

possessing a broad technical and business background. He has over 8-years experience in emergency response as a fire fighter and hazardous materials technician. Tom is currently a Captain for the
Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) Hazardous Materials Response Team. As an instructor, attendance at the National Fire Academy and U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office for
Domestic Preparedness courses have strengthened his teaching techniques in the areas of Hazardous Materials Chemistry, Incident Safety Officer, NIMS based Incident Command courses, WMD
Radiological/Nuclear Awareness Course, Public Safety WMD Response--Sampling Techniques and Guidelines for HazMat Technicians courses.
Tom is a member of Alaska West Emergency Response Team and is responsible to respond to hazardous materials in transportation via highway, rail and vessel. Tom holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geology
from Texas Tech University and served in the U.S. Navy.
